Two trains leave for Karachi

LAHORE, Feb 11: Only two passenger trains left here for Karachi as traffic to and from the Sindh capital could not be restored till late on Saturday evening.

The Karakorum Express (42-down) left the Lahore railway station at 5:30pm instead of its scheduled departure time of 4pm while the Karachi Express (16-down) at 7:25pm instead of 6pm, sources said.

“The damaged track between Meting and Bholari railway stations in Thatta district is likely to be repaired after Saturday midnight,” they said.

Chief Operating Superintendent Asadullah of the Pakistan Railways was not available for comments.
