ISLAMABAD, Feb 11: President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai will meet traders on Feb 16 at Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) to discuss measures for increasing trade between the two countries.

ICCI president Abdul Rauf in a statement issued on Saturday said that the Afghan president would address Pakistani traders and industrialists to pave way for increasing bilateral trade.

This will be the first visit of the Afghan president to any Pakistani chamber, he added.

Meanwhile, the ICCI president said that a delegation from Bangladesh Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (BFCCI) led by its president would also visit the chamber.

A high-level trade delegation from UAE headed by the Minister of Energy would visit the chamber next week. This visit would be followed by the visit of State Bank of Pakistan governor Dr Shamshad Akhtar to the ICCI.

She will meet with the members of ICCI and this would be her first visit to any chamber in which she will discuss her policies, the ICCI president added.
