COLOMBO, Feb 10: Medium pacer Anwar Ali bowled Pakistan into the quarterfinal of the Under-19 World Cup as they crushed New Zealand by eight wickets on Friday.
Anwar grabbed five wickets for 34 as New Zealand were bundled out for 77 in 24 overs.
He received splendid supporter from his newball partner Jamshed Ahmed who chipped in with three wickets for 14 runs. Only TD Astle (12) and RM Hira (28)reached double figures for Kiwis.
Pakistan achieved the target in just nine overs for the loss of two wickets.
Ali Khan was unbeaten 30.

England will face Bangladesh in the quarterfinal of the Under-19 World Cup after suffering their first defeat of the competition against Zimbabwe.
Victory would have secured top spot for England in Group D, but that instead went to Zimbabwe who surpassed England’s total of 172 all out in the 48th over to win by two wickets.
