BADIN: Constable held in murder case

By Our Correspondent

BADIN, Feb 8: The Pangrio police have arrested a police constable for allegedly killing two people with a hammer in the Khoski town. The policeman, Adnan Arain, could not be produced before the magistrate for remand due to Ashura holidays.

ASI Fazil of the Pangrio police station said the accused had confessed to killing the two people.

The accused, who is said to be a drug addict, has been serving in the police department for four to five years. A few days ago, he was reportedly chained by his family members who wanted to shift him to Punjab.

Residents of the Khoski town held the police department responsible for the murder of the two people. They said if the accused was mentally retarded or a drug addict, he should have been taken in custody. They alleged that such policemen were not only patronizing criminals but also they were tarnishing the image of police.
