Admissions to AIOU open

ISLAMABAD, Feb 7: Admissions to Spring Semester 2006 programmes of the Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) have started from February 1 across the country as well as in the Middle East, says a statement.

Admission forms and prospectuses are available on the university’s main campus in Sector H-8 in Islamabad, besides AIOU’s regional campuses/offices around the country. In middle eastern countries, the forms and prospectuses are available at Pakistani high commissions and embassies.

AIOU CONVOCATION: The 7th convocation of the Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) Islamabad chapter will be held in the first week of April on the varsity’s main campus in the federal capital.

Controller of Examinations Hafizullah, in a statement, said all graduates of master’s to PhD level programmes belonging to Islamabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Fata and Northern Areas were eligible to take part in the convocation. The eligible participants should have completed their degrees between Autumn Semester 2001 and Spring Semester 2004. BA and BEd students who secured A or B garde during the same period can also attend the ceremony.

Mr Hafizullah advised those eligible participants belonging to the quake-affected areas whose postal addresses had been changed to contact the nearest AIOU regional campus/office or the university’s main campus in Islamabad.—Our Reporter
