KARACHI, Feb 7: Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has claimed that only his party was capable of resolving the problems being faced by the country and its citizens.
He was addressing members of the MQM coordination committee heard simultaneously in London and Karachi and London.
A press release issued by the MQM said that the coordination committee discussed in detail the political situation prevailing in the country.
Mr Hussain recalled that ever since its inception, the MQM had been struggling for reforming the society and bringing an end to the feudal system.
“As a result of its policies, the message, that MQM alone has the answer to the challenges faced by the people of Pakistan, is spreading fast and being accepted in every nook and corner of the country.
“People are getting convinced that the MQM is the only party to ameliorate their lot. They have realized this after being betrayed time and again by different leaders and their parties.”
Mr Hussain said that the MQM was dedicated to the cause of the poor and was championing the cause. He pointed out that his party did not have any feudal lord or wadera in its ranks. It was a party of the poor and was working ceaselessly for the attainment of their collective rights.
He directed his party workers to redouble their efforts for the service of the suffering mankind and come up to people’s expectations, which were rising with each passing day.
