A.R. Rehman, Salman to perform in US festival

NEW YORK, Feb 6: Pakistan and India’s leading musicians, Junoon’s Salman Ahmad and Bollywood’s A.R. Rahman, will perform at Stanford University’s second annual Pan Asian music festival which begins on Friday in San Jose (California).

The four-day festival will also have a night of traditional Sufi music (Qawwali) by a Pakistani Qawwal group. A special event devoted to legendary Qawwal Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan will kick off the event which will include performances by scores of classical singers and Qawwals from the sub-continent.
