KARACHI: Cases lodged against CM’s opponent

KARACHI, Feb 6: Police have registered three cases against Wali Mohammad Rahimo, a political opponent of the Sindh Chief Minister from his constituency. The first case pertains to alleged possession and sale of drugs while the other case has been registered under the Zina Ordinance.

Wali Mohammad Rahimo had contested the provincial elections from Thar on a PPP ticket against Dr Arbab Rahim in the last general elections. According to Wali Mohammad’s wife, he was taken away by unknown persons three days back when he was going with his driver.

Aziz Bhatti police claimed that Wali Mohammad was apprehended near Expo Centre, and one kg of charas and four bottles of wine were allegedly recovered from his car. Subsequently, an FIR was registered at the Aziz Bhatti PS.

Another case has been registered at the Landhi police station for allegedly kidnapping a woman. Yet another case was registered against Wali Mohammad about a year back the Preedy police station under Section 506-2B which pertains to giving life threats.
