Human chain formed to mark Kashmir Solidarity Day


KOHALA, Feb 5: To mark the Kashmir Solidarity Day, the people of Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday formed a human chain at the Kohala bridge which links Pakistan with the AJK.

People from all walks of life, who were present on the occasion, pledged to render sacrifices for the freedom of occupied Kashmir.

Later, a public meeting was held in which speakers expressed solidarity with the Kashmiri people in the Indian occupied Kashmir.

Members of the Parliamentary Kashmir Committee and MNAs Nawab Amanullah, Mushtaq Victor and Shah Abdul Aziz were also present at the public gathering.

Adviser to Sindh Chief Minister Mir Sultan Khawar, NWFP Minister for Local Government Sardar Mohammad Idrees, Raja Farooq Haider, APHC senior leader Prof Ashraf Saraaf, Raja Ashraf of the PML and others addressed the gathering.—APP
