KARACHI, Feb 5: The Pakistan Association for Mental Health (PAMH) on Sunday held a free mental health camp in Gazderabad, where over 100 patients were provided with free consultation, counselling and medications by a team of psychiatrists.
According to a PAMH statement, the camp marked the launch of community mental health programme, the association aims to focus on this particular area from six months to a year so that patients could be provided with regular follow ups.
An interactive session with community members was also held to apprise them of the programme in question.
The camp was organized at the Marvari Salawata Community Hall, Gazderabad where senior psychiatrists Prof S. Haroon Ahmed, Dr Uzma Ambreen, Dr S. Ali Wasif, Dr Rubeena Kidwai, Dr Nazila Bano, Dr Naim Siddiqui, Dr Munir Hamerani and others provided treatment, the statement added.—Staff Reporter
