SIALKOT, Feb 4: Scores of citizens will make a chain of human hands in the district on Sunday (today) to express their complete solidarity with the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
This was said by MMA MPA Arshad Mehmood Baggu while talking to the press here on Saturday. He said the Jamaat-i-Islami and Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal had jointly established several special camps in the city to motivate people to join the chain.
Mr Baggu said there would be complete shutdown in the district while different political, religious and social organizations would arrange seminars, rallies and public meetings on Kashmir issue.
Public transport: The traffic police on Saturday impounded hundreds of public transport vehicles in Sialkot and Narowal districts for transporting police and other government officials who have been assigned special Muharram duty.
With the shortage of transport, commuters, especially women and children, had to face great difficulties. The owners of rickshaws and pick ups exploited the misery of commuters and charged almost double fare from them. When contacted, traffic police officials said the situation would continue till Ashura.
