KARACHI, Feb 4: The Baloch National Movement (BNM) has slammed the rulers for using ‘threatening language’ against Baloch nationalist leaders, saying that such tactics would not work.

A statement issued by Ghulam Baloch of the party said that the ‘state terrorism’ had strengthened the unity of Baloch people who were determined to achieve their national objectives.

“For the past three years, the rulers have been using brute force to crush the resistance movement in Balochistan, but they have miserably failed in their attempts. Now they have started hurling threats at Baloch nationalist leaders.”

Let the rulers know that they could not tackle the Balochistan issue through the sheer use of force, he remarked.

JWP: The Jamhoori Watan Party has also condemned the recent arrest of its activists, including Mir Ayaz Bugti, from outside the Karachi Press Club, and termed it ‘state terrorism’ and ‘violation of human rights’.

Sher Mohammad Baloch of the JWP said the government has adopted coercive measures against those were pursuing peaceful methods to raise their voice against injustices.

He appealed to all the democratic forces of the country and international organizations for human rights to take a serious note of the human rights violation in Balochistan, as well as the other places in the country.
