Efforts on to introduce CNG buses

By Our Reporter

ISLAMABAD Feb 4: Petroleum and Natural Resources Minister Amanullah Khan Jadoon said on Saturday that steps were underway to introduce CNG buses in the country which would cut down heavy diesel import bill.

He stated this while inaugurating Pakistan State Oil’s new vision outlet on Abbatabad-Mansehra highway.

An official announcement said that 18 per cent oil requirements were met only through indigenous production and 50 per cent indigenous gas provided a substantial portion to meet the energy requirement of the country. Mr Jadoon said the government was encouraging investors to promote the CNG sector. He said that Pakistan ranked No 1 in Asia and 3rd in the world in the CNG sector.
