KARACHI, Feb 2: Six ships carrying steel scrap, chemicals, and steel coils are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to the KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six vessels, Marcala Baria, Kota Tabah, Hyundai Sprinter, Y.M. Fortune to unload and load containers, Al-Mamoori-2 to unload and load general cargo and Lalazar to offload crude oil were berthed after the departure of as many ships.

The ships, which departed included Global Prosperity, APL Pusan PAC Antlia, Iron Butterfly , Agios Nectarios and Irene, while Seiko Maru-16, Y.M. Fortune, Thor Captain, Marcala Bria and Lalazar are due to sail out on Friday.

Cargo handling activity on the wharves showed a sizeable expansion at 0.132m tons comprising 34,890 tons of export cargo, including 6,969 tons of rice and 96,677 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Friday: Claudius, with 27,000 tons of steel scarp, Oriental Kerria, with chemicals, Corn Thaikos, Sagamore and Maersk Alaska, with container and Hanjin Houstan, with 13,530 tons of steel coils.
