Rahim grabs equalizer
LAHORE, Feb 1: Two matches were decided on the first day of LUMS Inter-varsity football challenge cup on Wednesday. A 60th minute equalizer by Rahim helped FAST National University draw 1-1 against Institute of Business Management.
Hassan Dar drew first blood for IBM in the 40th minute, before FAST scored the equalizer.
Two goals by Ihsan helped University of Management Technology (UMT) beat University of Engineering and Technology Taxila (UET) 3-0.
Shahid of UET scored an own goal to give UMT a 1-0 lead in the 15th minute. Ihsan doubled the lead in the 29th minute and then banged home in the 50th to complete the tally.
Eight teams are participating in the contest.
