KARACHI: ‘Khokhrapar opening part of Jinnahpur conspiracy’

KARACHI, Feb 1: Sindh National Front and Sindh Qaumi Ittehad chairman Sardar Mumtaz Ali Bhutto has said that opening of Khokhrapar border is part of the conspiracy to create ‘Jinnahpur’ in Sindh.

He issued the statement on Wednesday in reaction to former Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Jamali’s viewpoint that Khokhrapar-Monabao train service would benefit Sindh and there would be no influx from India.

“There would be a huge influx of Indians, who would be settled in towns and villages of this province turning the local people in minority under a well-conceived plan,” Mumtaz Bhutto contended.

The SNF chief said that Mr Jamali should refrain from making such statements as he had no right to speak on the issues of Sindh. “Mr Jamali’s premiership was nothing but a joke, which he lost due to his incapability,” he remarked saying why a person who kept mum over exploitation of smaller provinces while sitting at the helms of affairs, was now talking of their rights.

Mumtaz Bhutto said that the Sindh Qaumi Ittehad, an alliance of nationalist parties, would soon announce its formal reaction to the opening of Khokhrapar border. —PPI
