PCB hires TV consultant

Published January 31, 2006

KARACHI, Jan 30: Country’s richest sports organisation, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), has engaged a former Managing Director of Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV) as a consultant for an initial period of six months for its proposed sports channel to cover cricket in the country along with other major sports, chairman PCB Sheheryar Khan said on Monday.

The consultant reportedly will be paid Rs.125,000 per month plus other perks.

He will start working from Feb 1 and his main task will be to prepare a feasibility report in the next six months.

PCB already has a retired employee as its marketing consultant for the last couple of years on a very attractive package.

Initially the marketing consultant too was engaged only for the last Indian visit of 2004 but his contract was later extended for an unlimited period.
