LAHORE, Jan 30: Imran Nazir and Mansoor Amjad struck half- centuries to help National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) to give a fitting reply to PTCL’s first innings total of 317 in Patron’s Trophy Grade-I at Sheikhupura Stadium on Monday. Imran hit 76 with nine fours and one six while Mansoor cracked seven boundaries as NBP were 223-4 by close of play.
Nauman Ullah had scored 49, smashing seven boundaries and one six was unbeaten. Leg-spinner Muhammad Hussain was most impressive of taking three wickets for 63.
PTCL’s first innings was further prospered by overnight Asim Kamal and tailender Tahir Mughal after it was resumed at 214-6. Asim began from 59, but was unlucky to miss the coveted figure by five runs. He hit 16 boundaries and one six.
Tahir Mughal scored 58 laced with seven fours and one six. Medium-pacer Yasir Arafat (4-70) and Wasim Khan (4-104) shared eight wickets between them.
