ISLAMABAD, Jan 29: Opener Ghulam Ali scored a fine 84 that put PIA in a healthy position in their Patron’s Trophy quadrangular match against Habib Bank at the KRL Stadium on Sunday.
At the close of play on day three of four, PIA had moved to 315 for seven in their second innings and were ahead by 296 runs. At the crease were Bazid Khan and Najaf Shah, both of whom had identical scores of 38.
Ghulam, not out 8 in his team’s overnight score of 29-1, struck 10 fours and a six in his 162-ball innings before falling to Fahad Masood.
Also making a useful contribution was Asif Mujtaba who chipped in with 45. Medium fast Irfan Fazil was the stand-out bowler with three for 68.
