A failed show: MMA

By Our Staff Reporter

LAHORE, Jan 29: The MMA claims that its anti-marathon campaign has been a success as the government could not bring women on roads despite use of all resources and vowed to continue their opposition to all such events.

Speaking at a joint press conference here on Sunday, deputy secretary-general Liaquat Baloch, Hafiz Salman Butt and Saifuddin Saif said it was a failed show as people remained indifferent to it.

They criticized the government for causing inconvenience to citizens by keeping closed most of the major city roads for the run.

They said most of the participants were either employees of various government departments or were drawn by force from some private educational institutions owned by the ruling PML’s members.
