By Our Staff Reporter

RAWALPINDI, Jan 29: More than two dozen activists of Jamaat- i-Islami were booked by Waris Khan police on charges of violating a ban on protest demonstration and holding an anti-government rally on Murree Road on Saturday, police said.

Witnesses and police said more than 25 activists of Islami Jamiat Talaba held a demonstration on Murree Road near Liaquat Bagh on Saturday to condemn the marathon in Lahore.

The anti-marathon rally was led by Jamaat-i-Islami City Nazim Obaidullah Abid and general secretary Tajamal Hussain.
