Frustrated fans return empty handed

By Our Sports Reporter

KARACHI, Jan 28: The general public was confronted with a lot of problem on Saturday when third Test tickets were not made available for sale at some branches of the designated bank.

Fans returned disappointed when Bank Alfalah’s Hyderi branch staff informed them that there aren’t tickets available nor the branch was asked to sell them.

The PCB advertised in the media on several occasions that tickets would be available for sale from the prescribed branches.

In fact, a number of people instead turned up at the National Stadium in the hope of buying tickets for the final which begins on Sunday. But they also had to go empty-handed after learning tickets were supposed to be available at 14 branches of the said bank.

The KCCA had already distributed complimentary 16,000 tickets of the general enclosure two days earlier. Saturday was supposed to be the last day for sale of tickets.

During the match only the bank’s Gulshan-i-Iqbal branch would be selling the tickets.

No official of either the PCB or the bank was available for comments.
