Karachi, Jan 28: Former Pakistan captain and star batsman Zaheer Abbas was one of many who feel that pitch for third Pakistan-India cricket Test starting on Sunday would also favour batsmen, despite promise of a sporting one by curators.
After first two Tests were completely dominated by batsmen, who scored 12 centuries in drawn encounters, Pakistan Cricket Board has been criticised.
“Just wait and see. I know the Stadium wicket very well,” Zaheer, who played hundreds of matches at National Stadium said.
When told that curator Agha Zahid has promised to leave some grass on pitch for final Test of series, Zaheer, who scored over 100 centuries in his first-class career, was non-commital.—PPI
