Two outlaws shot dead

HARIPUR, Jan 28: Two outlaws were killed in a firing incident and another two were arrested near Bhaidian village some 32 km from here on Friday evening, police sources said.

Kotnajibullah police said that on a tip off a police party tried to stop a Suzuki pickup, the persons on board the vehicle opened fire at police.

In retaliation the police opened fire at the fleeing persons, one of them who was later identified as Faisal, son of Sultan Bahadur, was killed and the police caught hold of his two accomplices, Wasit and Ehjaz unhurt.

According to police, another person Khalid, who was already injured in rival group’s firing before the encounter with police and was being shifted to hospital, succumbed to injuries in the pickup.

Police told that both suspects were absconders of Kot Najibullah and Hasan Abdal police and were wanted to the police in a number of murder and theft cases.—Correspondent
