School building grabbed

GUJRANWALA, Jan 28: A primary girls school building was occupied after expelling students and teachers from the building by the influential people in a Kamoki village on Saturday.

Reports said that teachers were busy in classes when some armed men entered the school and had the building vacated forcibly from students and teachers.

Meanwhile, headmistress Ms Shehnaz Kauser moved the sessions court pleading that the school building should be got evacuated from landgrabbers. The judge ordered the district administration and police to eject landgrabbers within two days and building be handed over to the school administration.

INJURED: A man and his son were shot at and injured on resistance by bandits during a dacoity bid on Saturday in Langlawali, Wazirabad.

Reports said that three armed dacoits entered the house of Bashir, held the inmates hostage and started collecting valuables. For offering resistance, the outlaws opened fire, injuring Bashir and his son Rafiq seriously. They were shifted to Mayo Hospital, Lahore, in serious condition.

Police are going into the matter.
