KARACHI: Traffic arrangements for match


KARACHI, Jan 28: The Karachi traffic police on Saturday issued details of traffic arrangements regarding the third cricket test match between India and Pakistan, being played at the National Stadium from Jan 29.

According to traffic arrangements, the spectators could park their vehicles in China Ground on the Sir Shah Suleman Road, at the National Coaching Centre Ground and Expo Centre. Entrance for vehicles to the Expo Centre would be only from the University Road.

Only foreign visitors, personnel of law enforcing agencies and people belonging to the electronic media can park their vehicles in parking lot A inside the stadium. While only vehicles having specific security stickers will be allowed entry to the parking lot.

The traffic police asked all spectators that except for the prescribed parking grounds, no vehicles can be parked anywhere around the stadium. In case of violation, the traffic police will lift these vehicles and impose fine on the violators.

The traffic police said no truck, trailer, dumper or animal-drawn vehicle will be allowed to go towards the National Stadium from Habib Ibrahim Rehmatullah Road, to Karsaz from Sir Shah Suleman Road, and to Hassan Square from Stadium Road, and to National Stadium from Drive-in Cinema Chowrangi and New Town Police Station.—PPI
