KARACHI: Completion of project ordered
KARACHI, Jan 28: Sindh Planning Minister Shoaib Bukhari directed that construction of Advance Emergency Centre building, forming part of the Sindh Government Hospital, Liaquatabad, should be completed by June 2006.
He assured that the government would provide whatever funds required in this regard in the current fiscal. He said this during his visit to the under construction building in Liaquatabad. MPA Farheena Ambrin also accompanied him.
Mr Bukhari directed the DO Buildings, Chaudhry Muhammad Ali, to complete the project ahead of schedule, keeping quality in focus.
The project will be completed at a cost of Rs100.9 million.
So far, an amount of Rs25 million has been spent on the project, which will have an operation theatre, X-Ray facility, intensive care unit, a nursing institute, a library, a seminar hall, an administrative block and classrooms.
On the directive of the minister, construction was on at full swing on the project, which started in Feb 2004. The DO Buildings assured that the project will be completed by June.—APP
