CARACAS, Jan 28: Venezue-lan President Hugo Chavez warned on Friday he could jail US Embassy officials caught spying after accusing them of links to Venezuelan officers suspected of espionage for the Pentagon.

The charges of US spying are the latest test of relations between the United States and Mr Chavez.

“We have uncovered a case, another espionage case,” Mr Chavez told an audience at a World Social Forum event where he was joined by peace activists.—Reuters
