NTC hearing

By Our Reporter

ISLAMABAD, Jan 28: The National Tariff Commission (NTC) is holding a public hearing on Feb 15 to consider an appeal seeking reduction in customs duty on import of glass from 25 per cent to an adequate level.

An official announcement issued by the NTC here on Saturday also invited views, suggestions and proposals from all parties having interest in the business relating to or associated with imports, manufacturing and marketing of glass.

All interested parties should send suggestions in the name of secretary NTC within seven days of the publication of the notice.

The comments and suggestions may be supported with essential facts, information and supporting evidence, which must be brought to the public hearing. The views not supported with reliable documentary evidence(s) will not be considered, added the announcement.

Lahore Glass Merchants Group and Importers Association approached the NTC for reduction in customs duty on imported glass.
