KARACHI, Jan 28: Seven ships, including a car carrier with 405 units, are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships — Wan Hai-311, Sagamore, Kota Merdesa, to unload and load containers, and NCC Madinah, to offload crude oil — were berthed after the departure of five.

The ships, which departed included Global Prince, Corin Thaikos, MOL Silver Fern, Sagamore and Almar, while Yick Wing, Stella Terza, Wan Hai-11, Sea Harvest, Sunniva and Kota Merdesa are due to sail out on Sunday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was relatively slow at 72,581 tons comprising 32,205 tons of export cargo, including 6,675 tons of rice and 40,356 tons of import cargo.

The following ships are due on Sunday: West Gold, with 8,100 tons of RBD palm oil, Shalamar, with crude oil, Troyburg, PONL Vera Cruz, Noble Star, Orient Independence, with containers, Singa Ace, with 405 cars.

The following are due on Monday: Yang Jiang He, Eax Sanctity, Thor Captain, Global Prosperity, Ever Guard, with containers, Annemieke, with general cargo, Al-Mamoori-2, Iron Butterfly, to load project cargo.
