LAHORE, Jan 27: Shahnawaz and Moqaddas Ashraf emerged as the new champions in the boys and girls category in the Lahore City junior squash championship on Friday.

The semifinals and finals in different age categories were held on Friday.

Shahnawaz beat Shoaib Hassan in 30 minutes 11-5, 8-11, 13-11, 11-9 of to win the seniors’s final.

Moqaddas won the senior’s final against Saima Shoukat 9-4, 7-9, 9-4, 9-4.

Results:

Boys: Semifinals. U-13: Ali Bukhari bt Ammad Farid 7-9, 9-6, 9-2, 9-7; Arsalan Bhatti bt Moain Rauf 3-9, 9-3, 9-3, 9-4.

Final. Ali Bukhari bt Arslan Bhatti 9-3, 9-3, 9-1.

U-15 (semifinals): Owais Rehman bt Hamza Bukhari 9-7, 9-0, 9-4; Haroon Samad bt Khalil Mehboob 10-8, 9-6, 3-9; 8-10, 9- 6. Final: Owais Raheem bt Haroon Samad 9-1, 9-7, 10-9.

U-19 (semifinals): Raza Yaqoob bt Hamza 9-1, 9-3, 9-1; Adnan Khan bt Aurangzeb Khan 9-3, 9-7, 9-1.

Final: Adnan Khan bt Raza Yaqoob 10-8, 9-3, 9-2.

Seniors: Semifinals: Shahnawaz bt Naveed 7-11, 11-8, 11-3, 11-7; Shoaib Hassan bt Tahoor Ali 11-4, 11-1, 11-6.

Final: Shahnawaz bt Shoaib Hassan 5-11, 11-8, 13-11, 11-9.

GIRLS.

U-15 (semifinals): Roshna Mehboob bt Sana Batool 9-1, 9-0, 9-0; Riffat Khan bt Samar Anjum 9-2, 9-5, 9-7.

Final: Roshna Mehboob bt Samar Anjum 9-1, 9-1, 9-0.

Seniors (semifinals): Moqaddas Ashraf bt Zeba Parvaiz 9-0, 9-2, 9-3; Saima Shoukat bt Zoya Khalid 9-5, 9-2, 9-1.

Final: Moqaddas Ashraf bt Saima Shoukat 9-4, 7-9, 9-4, 9-4.
