SC seeks comments from Sindh IGP: Missing JSSM leader
THATTA, Jan 27: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has sought comments from Inspector General of Police, Sindh, regarding the whereabouts of JSMM (Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz) central general secretary Nawaz Ali Khan Zaur and his companion Zulfiqar Ali Kolachi and activists of JSQM.
Mukhtiar Ali Zaur, younger brother of the missing leader, had moved the Supreme Court claiming that his brother and his political colleagues were travelling in Bolan Mail and when the train stopped near Bolhari station, a heavy contingent of police led by DPO of Jamshoro, Attaullah Chandio and some plain-clothed personnel of law-enforcement agencies whisked them away. The incident took place between the night of December 31 and Jan 1 and till date there whereabouts are not known.
Fearing that his brother Nawaz Zaur, father of three daughters and two minors, might be killed in custody, he said that Mr Zaur should be brought before a court of law. The registrar Supreme Court of Pakistan, on behalf of Supreme Court, has directed the IGP Sindh to furnish comments within two weeks.—Correspondent
