Five women of family killed in accident
KASUR, Jan 27: Five women of a family were killed while eight other members suffered serious injuries on Friday in a road accident near Bado Jeona village. Police said some 15 family members were going to condole the death of a relative from Shadpur village to Wah Ahdan village by a wagon (665-DNB) when a speeding tractor-trolley hit their vehicle.
As a result, Haneefa Bibi, Haleema Bibi, Perveen Bibi, Rajan Bibi and Mukhtaran Bibi died instantly while eight other family members sustained injuries. Ismail was rushed to Jinnah Hospital, Lahore, while the rest were admitted to a Chunnian hospital. The tractor-trolley driver managed to escape from the scene.
Chunnian police are going into the matter.
