KARACHI: KU notifies BEd, MEd results
KARACHI, Jan 26: The examinations department of the University of Karachi on Thursday announced the results of BEd (morning) annual exams 2005 in addition to first and second year BEd (evening) annual exams 2005.
In BEd (morning) annual exams 2005, Shahana Khan d/o Shoukat Ali Khan of Jamia Millia Govt College of Education stood first, Fouzia Shareef d/o Mohammad Shareef of the same college clinched second position and Razia Sultana d/o Mohammad Siddiq of Govt College of Education bagged the third position.
According to statistics of the result, some 1,032 candidates registered themselves with the KU exams department, of which 1,024 appeared and only one candidate was declared passed in A-1 grade, 146 in A grades, 468 in B grades and 40 got C grades. The pass percentage remained at 63.96 per cent.
Results of three candidates including seat nos 3528, 3529 and 2514 were withheld for various reasons.
In BEd (evening) first year annual exams, all 75 candidates registered with KU exams department appeared, of which 46 were declared passed with a pass percentage of 61.33. Result of a candidate seat no 3675 was withheld for incomplete enrolment documents.
In BEd (evening) second year annual exams, 130 of 132 candidates registered with KU appeared in the exams, of which only 2 were declared passed in A grades, 60 got B and 11 secured C grades. The pass percentage remained at 56.15 per cent.
The KU exams department also announced the results of MEd (morning) annual exams 2005 and first and second year MEd (evening) annual exams 2005.
In MEd (morning) annual exams, Baseera Absar d/o Absar Hussain Khan of Govt College of Education stood first, Fatima Ifzal d/o Sayed Mohammad Ifzal of Govt Jamia Millia College of Education got second position and Musarrat Fatima d/o Mohammad Afzal Khan of Govt. College of Education stood third in the exams.
Statistics of the results showed that 88 candidates appeared in the exams, of which 3 were declared passed in A-1 grade, 29 each in A and B grades and only 6 in C grades. The pass percentage remained at 76.13. Result of a candidate seat no 5088 was withheld for incomplete enrolment.
In MEd (evening) first year, all 26 candidates registered with KU exams department appeared, of which 16 were declared passed with 61.54 as pass percentage. Result of a candidate seat no 5126 was withheld for incomplete enrolment.
In second year MEd (evening), 28 candidates appeared of which 1 was declared passed in A grade, 10 in B grade and only 1 in C grade. The pass percentage remained at 42.85 per cent.—PPI
