LAKKI MARWAT, Jan 24: District Nazim Humayun Saifullah Khan presented a Rs689.23 million budget for the fiscal 2005-2006 at a district council session here on Tuesday. The meeting was presided over by district council convener Qudratullah and attended by DCO Kifayatullah and heads of all district departments.
Speaking at the session, Humayun Saifullah said that a sum of Rs586.89 million had been allocated for salaries, and Rs67.88 million earmarked for other expenditures.
He said that Rs20.47 million had been set aside for development schemes. Out of this amount, Rs6.49 million would go for on-going schemes, and Rs13.89 for new schemes.—Correspondent
