KARACHI, Jan 24: The University of Karachi on Tuesday announced the results of MA (Previous) External Examinations 2005. According to statistics, 2,739 candidates appeared in Economics and 399 passed; 49 appeared in General History and 12 passed; 244 candidates appeared in Islamic History and 55 passed; 1,746 appeared in International Relations and 518 passed; 593 appeared in Political Science and 172 passed; 598 appeared in Islamic Studies and 398 passed; 18 candidates appeared in Philosophy and six passed; two candidates passed in Arabic; 27 appeared in Sindhi and seven passed; 279 appeared in Urdu and 149 passed; 625 appeared in English and 26 passed; and 30 candidates appeared in Mathematics and 27 passed.

The results of 228 candidates were withheld for incomplete registration and want of particulars, and those of 23 for using unfair means.

BA, BSc forms: The University of Karachi on Tuesday notified that enrolment forms of admitted students of BA, BSc and BCom for the academic session 2005-06 will be accepted till March 11 with normal fees of Rs550.—PPI
