LAHORE, Jan 23: National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) inflicted a seven-wicket defeat over Habib Bank Limited (HBL) inside three days in Patron’s Trophy Grade I at Multan Stadium on Monday.
NBP were set to score 98 for win, romped home scoring 99 for three wickets to earn full points.
NBP, who scored 357 in the first innings after resuming at 350- eight wickets gained a 96-run lead.
Medium-pacer Wasim Khan (3-37) and Zahid Saeed (3-47)enabled NBP to skittle HBL in the second innings for 193 paved the way for victory.
HBL made a fine start as opener Taufiq Umar (68) and Raffat Ullah Mohmand (53) provided an opening stand of 122.
But a disastrous batting collapse saw they lost last nine wickets for the addition of 71 runs.
