19 schools to compete in Karachi Games


KARACHI, Jan 23: Nineteen schools would contest the inaugural Karachi School Games starting from Jan 25 to 30, Pakistan School Sports Association announced on Monday.

Football would be held at Aga Khan ground, badminton and table tennis at Sindh Sports Board Hall, basketball at UBL Sports Complex and St. Patrick’s School and athletics at National Sports Training and Coaching Centre, said PSSA secretary, Shahid Nawab.

He said the athletics, basketball, football, and badminton for boys and athletics, basketball, badminton, table tennis, and throwball for girls in age groups of ten and a half, 14 and a half and 18 would be played.

The athletics meet has been dedicated to late journalist Ian Fyfe, who died last year from a road accident.—APP
