PESHAWAR, Jan 23: A delegation of the World Bank, led by its Country Director John W. Wall, on Monday discussed with Chief Secretary Ejaz Ahmad Qureshi the bank’s proposals for providing assistance to the provincial government over the next four years for developing infrastructure, social sector and protection of people in the quake-affected areas.

Administrative Secretaries of P&D, agriculture, health, works and services, finance and schools and literacy departments also attended the meeting.

The chief secretary while speaking on this occasion thanked he World Bank for extending support to the province in various sectors.

He said that the experts would examine the Bank’s proposals and give its professional and detailed feedback to the Bank as early as possible.
