KARACHI: Military operation in Balochistan condemned

KARACHI, Jan 23: The National Party Karachi and Baloch Alliance Karachi on Monday staged separate protest rallies outside Karachi Press Club against the arrests of Balochs, and bombing of civilian population.

The participants of the rallies were holding banners and the party flags and were raising slogans against the government and demanding an end to army operation in Balochistan.

Before dispersing peacefully, they were addressed by their leaders in which they appealed to all Balochs to unite

The speakers at the National Party rally — Rajab Ali Rind, Dr Abdul Malik, Mubarak Ali Baloch and others — said that on going struggle in Balochistan was not the struggle for any Sardar but for the rights of Balochs.

Demanding autonomy for provinces, they urged the government to stop its operation in Balochistan as it was a political issue and could only is reresolved through negotiation.

Leaders of Baloch Alliance and Ahlian-i-Lyari Zahid Hussain Baloch, Saleem Baloch, Abbas Baloch and others speaking at the rally said that rulers could not succeed in their designs to eliminate Balochs.
