KARACHI, Jan 23: Nine ships carrying steel, soyabean meal and to load ethanol are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly large where a dozen vessels were berthed to unload and load containers, general cargo and rice.

They are: Sagamore, Thor Captain, Iran Baabaei, Ponl Buenos Aires, Dong He and Bunga Delima, to unload load containers, Feliz-1 to load rice, Rickmers Doha, Mercs Ruhunu, Sea Harvest, and Guang Hua Men and Almar to unload and general cargo.

Sailing was also maintained at a record level as 16 ships, Kota Mesra, Kota Teraju, Sinar Bontang, Orient Independence, Conti Esoerabnc, Sagamore, Iran Shahryar, Induruwa Valley, Captain George Tsangaris, Adhidaya, Leopard, Keng Tung, Al-Marwah, Iran Baabaei, Jo Gran and Rickmers Doha departed, while Simon, Hanjin Busan, Kota Merdesa and Al-Maha are due to sail out on Tuesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves remained brisk where a total tonnage of 0.132m tons comprising 37,917 tons of export cargo including 8,148 tons of rice and 93,687 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Al-Maha, with soyabean meal, Dinga Qiseen, with general cargo, Olaar to load ethanol, APL Jeddah, Kota Tampan, Kota Wijaya, and Corin Thaikos, with containers, Sea Power and Yick Wing, with steel cargo.
