SIALKOT, Jan 22: Former ISI chief Lt-Gen Hameed Gul (retired) has said the present rulers have made the burning Kashmir issue complicated by displaying unnecessary flexibility on it just to appease the US and anti-Muslim powers. Addressing a seminar on ‘Kashmir issue and Pakistan’ held at Anwar Club Auditorium here on Sunday, Hameed Gul vowed to continue jihad in occupied Jammu and Kashmir till its freedom from the Indian yoke.

He said that US air strikes in Bajaur were infact attacks on the entire Muslim ummah, which was alarming for every one as the US had paved the way for attacks on Pakistan.

The former ISI chief was of the view that the freedom movement in Kashmir could only be made successful by promoting democracy, jihad and nuclear programme.

NWFP’s senior minister Sirajul Haq also strongly flayed US strikes on Bajaur Agency which killed dozens of innocent tribesmen, including women and children.

Local MPAs Engineer Imran Ashraf (PML-N), Arshad Mehmood Baggu advocate (MMA) and other Kashmiri leaders also spoke on the occasion. exhibition: A three-day world exhibition of Sialkot-made sports goods will begin at Florida-USA on Jan 23 (today) under the auspices of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and Export Promotion Bureau (EPB).

The exhibition will continue till Jan 25.

SCCI Senior Vice-President Faisal Mehmood Khan told the press here on Sunday that the city’s leading companies had established their stalls in the exhibition. He said the event would be helpful in promoting the Sialkot-made sports goods in USA and other European Union countries.
