MIRPURKHAS, Jan 22: A 100-member delegation of Indian politicians, journalists and representatives of NGOs will arrive here through the Munabao-Khokhrapar route on Jan 30. Jaswant Singh, former interior minister of India and the opposition leader in Rajya Sabha, will lead the delegation.

He will be the first politician to reach here from India through this route after 40 years.

ACCIDENT: Two people were killed and three others were injured when a speedy truck hit a donkey-cart near the Jhuddo town here on Sunday morning.

Five people of the Kachhi Kolhi community were on their way to the Ramzan Rind village from Jhuddo on the donkey-cart when the truck coming from the opposite direction hit it.

Bhemji, 40, and Veshram, 30, were killed and Kamlo, Chandar and Jeajro were injured in the accident

The bodies were handed over to heirs after autopsy at the Jhuddo Taluka Hospital. Two of the injured were referred to a hospital in Hyderabad. The Jhuddo police impounded the truck while its driver escaped. Police have lodged a case.

SEMINAR: The Sindh Horticulture Research Institute, Mirpurkhas, will hold a seminar on “Care of mango orchards” in the Ibrahim Lashari village, Sindhri taluka, here on Jan 24.

Growers from all over the province will participate in the seminar.
