LAHORE, Jan 21: A fine 96 by Abdul Rehman enabled Habib Bank Limited (HBL) to post a respectable total against against National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) in the Patron’s Trophy Grade-I at Multan Stadium Multan on Saturday.
Rahman struck 10 boundaries and one six off 140 balls as HBL collected 261 in their first innings. He defied NBP’s bowlers with authority.
Opener Rafat Ullah (41, three fours), Farhan Adil (38, five fours) and Humayun Farhat (34, six fours) were the only other key scorers.
Right-arm medium-pacer Wasim Khan did main damage to HBL’s batting line finishing with four for 44 while leg-spinner Mansoor Amjad snapped up three wickets for 63. At stumps, NBP were two without loss.
