Bandits loot valuables

NOWSHERA, Jan 21: Bandits took away cash and jewellery from a house after making the whole family hostage in Dagikhel village in Nowshera Kalan on Friday night.

The head of the family, Tilawat Shah, was also wounded when he tried to resist the looting bid.

Tilawat Shah told police that more than a dozen bandits entered his house by scaling the wall and held the whole family hostage.

They tied two brothers of Tilawat Shah with ropes and collected Rs 45,000, 80 grams gold ornaments, a colour TV set and CD player and fled.
