HYDERABAD: Cable service closed

HYDERABAD, Jan 21: Cable operators have closed their networks in the district in protest against what they called indifferent attitude of the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority which is causing them monetary losses.

Around 16 to 17 cable operators are providing cable services in the district but for two months they have closed all channels. They charge between Rs100 to Rs300 from a client.

“We are bearing losses as people are not ready to pay us fees unless transmission of certain channels is ensured,” said a cable operator.—Correspondent
