Punjab selects shuttlers
LAHORE, Jan 19: Punjab has announced men and women teams which will compete in the 49th national badminton championship to be held at Iqbal Park Sports Complex from Jan 24 to 31.
The men team comprises former national champion Ali Yar Beg, Waqas Zahid, Irfan Rana , Danish, Sabir Hanif, Ali Hafeez,Ahmed Nazir and Hammad Abdullah. Riaz Javed is the reserve player.
In the women’s category, Tahira Khan, Aqsa Razaq, Iram Shahzadi and Naila Shaheen will represent the province.
Akhtar Abbas has been appointed manager of the team.
