Ex-champ jailed


MIAMI, Jan 18: U.S. tennis champion Roscoe Tanner was sentenced to two years in jail for violating his probation on a theft conviction, a court official said on Tuesday. Tanner, 54, winner of the 1977 Australian Open, was sentenced to 10 years probation in 2003 for trying to pay for a boat with a worthless check.
