GUJRANWALA, Jan 18: The ruling PML meeting expressed concern over aggravating law and order situation and ignoring party workers by the government functionaries.

They demanded that people should be provided protection and security, as crime was at its worst in the district.

At a meeting held here on Wednesday presided over by Punjab Transport Minister Rana Shamshad Ahmad Khan, the participants said incidents of dacoities, robberies, murder and other heinous crime were on the rise and the police had failed to deliver.

The ruling party workers were being humiliated at police stations, they alleged.

The participants suggested that solid steps should be adopted to resolve the public problems at the grossroot level, besides revamping the law and order situation.
