FAISALABAD, Jan 18: The chief of the outlawed Sipah-i-Sahaba Pakistan, Maulana Muhammad Ahmad Ludhianvi, was picked up by the police immediately after his release from the central jail after three-month detention on Tuesday night.

According to reports, Maulana Ludhianvi, of Kamalia tehsil in Toba Tek Singh, was arrested by the police and sent behind the bars for three months under the Maintenance of Public Ordinance. He was shifted to Faisalabad Central Jail from Toba Tek Singh.

The arrested man completed his detention period on Tuesday and he was released from the central jail, but the Toba Tek Singh police again arrested him and shifted him to Toba Tek Singh.

Sources said the detention orders for another three months had been issued and the Maulana would again be shifted to the Faisalabad Central Jail.
